Podius CMS History1997 Cortext start-up company automates Jerusalem Post web publishing using a custom solution. JPost becomes the fifth popular e-newspaper world wide. 1998 The first version of the CMS called "Magazine". 1999 Cortext is swallowed by Virtual Jerusalem (part of Virtual Communities). 2000 Virtual Communities Inc. (VCIX) markets its Community Management Solution to organizations interested in [...], including VCIX's Cortext content publishing software, [...]. (full press release) 2001 Dapey Zahav swallows Cortext. The CMS is continued to be developed for two projects, one is InfoTour (for Tourism Ministry) and one is hotel-related. These projects are stopped for non-technical reasons. 2003 AgentInteractive continues to use "Magazine" for its internal projects. 2004 New Magazine-based projects: WebPromoMgmt, Neto, SmokingHookah and others. 2005 Podius becomes free software and gets its current name. 2006 New Podius-based projects: AllJobs, Isrotel Eilat Hotels, Agent homepage in English and Hebrew, memfrob.de and others. 2007 AgentInteractive opens new Podius-based Web 2.0 projects: Mevashlim.com and multilingual remake of Smoking Hookah. 2008 Dapey Zahav (Yellow Pages) together with AgentInteractive opens its new search engine "pay per click" based on Neto and Podius. | |||||||||||
